2021 has come to an end - Here's to a new one!
BACK TO OVERVIEW2021 will probably be etched in our memory for a long time. In the following, we would like to say goodbye to the old year by briefly recollecting the highlights at DOTZ - and look to the future with optimism. DOTZ kicked off the new year with a big product offensive: Never before had there been so many new entries! Under the fine-sounding name LagunaSeca, DOTZ presented a performance wheel in the cross-spoked design which is perfectly suited for mid- and upper mid-range cars. The dimensions range from 8x19 to 10x21 inches - the LagunaSeca is the largest rim in the DOTZ portfolio. It is available in the two colour variations grey (gunmetal) and dark (gunmetal front-polished).
Another new entry, the Sepang blaze, comes along highly extroverted in the brand-new turbo mesh look, which in 8x19 inches is an absolute eye-catcher on all sporty compact cars.
One of the world’s most beautiful race tracks served as the inspiration for the two variations of the DOTZ Spa for the compact and mid-range. Whether you prefer the ten spokes in mysterious matte black (Spa black) or with front-polished spokes (Spa dark), is a matter of taste. Both have absolutely cool vibes which are owed to the special design.
The Spa relies heavily on the interplay between straight-cut lines and the asymmetrical configuration of the ten spokes, which creates a beautiful effect. The Spa has been developed for compact and mid-range cars and is available in the dimensions 17 to 19 inches.
The popular Suzuka rim also saw an addition to the family: The Suzuka blaze in the front-polished silver look is extraordinarily radiant and has been developed especially for the BMW 3- and 4-Series.
At the same time, four additional dimensions have been introduced: 8 and 8.5x19 as well as 8 and 8.5x20 inches – inclusive of ECE fitments for staggered fitments.
If you need assistance with selecting the right rims, you will find that the optimized DOTZ 3D configurator is a highly practical tool. Simply enter brand and car type in the search box, select motorization and you will be presented with all available rims – it’s a cakewalk.
One or two DOTZ Team Riders have also used the configurator to select their dream rim. What the steadily growing DOTZ community is conjuring in terms of truly matching and exceptional combinations, is a sight for sore eyes. On the DOTZ social media channels you can explore even more examples of the stuff the DOTZ community is coming up with or what automobile art is being mounted on wheels – and you can exchange ideas, make new contacts, get plenty of inspiration for selecting the right wheel and, of course, ask all questions related to DOTZ rims. Coolness and an extrovert look are, however, only one aspect DOTZ is associated with. Other aspects include sturdiness and resilience which bring to bear when the going gets tough. That applies especially to our DOTZ 4x4 division.
The new Kalahari is custom-made for extreme conditions and heavy-duty use. The five- and six-hole rim with an optimized load-bearing capacity of up to 1150kg is particularly well-protected against weather effects with its special SRC paint, optimally dressing heavyweights such as the Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger Raptor or Mitsubishi L200. The perfect rim for off-road rides is available in the dimensions 7x16 to 8x18 inches.
And since we’re discussing heavy terrain: Reini Sampl’s DOTZ winter driving classes in Austria’s Lungau region were a very special highlight of the year. The paraplegic rallycross driver has been a through-and-through athlete since early childhood.

A winter driving class with DOTZ and Reini Sampl, hands down, is a win-win for driving safety which requires only some willingness to learn. In contrast, some luck was necessary at the big DOTZ Christmas raffle in which participants could win one of 24 great prizes every day.
Along with a set of DOTZ light alloy rims, prizes included, for example, an Xbox Series 5, vouchers for Jochen Schweizer events, care products or useful gadgets.
And since, as announced above, we want to take a peek into the future, we will end our review of the year’s events with a rim in the trendy asymmetrical look: The brand-new DOTZ Tanaka creates an energetic twist with a combination of sporty-aggressive Y-cross-spoked design and an edged, deep centre section.
The new entry, like all DOTZ wheels with free-of-registration fitments, is suitable for the mid- and upper mid-range and leaves a lasting impression on the Audi A4, A5 or A6 and the BMW 5-, 6- and 8-Series. The Tanaka is available in 8x18, 8.5x19, 9.5x19, 9x20, 10x20, 9x21 and 10x21 inches. As the dark model, it comes in gunmetal front-polished while the black model is entirely in matte black.
