Breathtaking Duo

These two are made for each other: With its clean design, the DOTZ MarinaBay masters the challenging art of minimalism. Its restrained five-spoke design with the extroverted turbo ring is as modern as the models of the electric pioneer Tesla - but the Model S Plaid takes it a step further.

Speed unleashed

A reduced, pleasing design characterises Tesla models, along with a contemporary approach to the automotive energy form of the future, such as fast charging stations and easy navigation to them. However, the Model S Plaid is a unique case, as the usual speed restrictions for electric cars do not apply to the fastest Tesla.

This results in the sleek four-door saloon being able to use its 1020 horsepower for maximum acceleration and Vmax. Where electronics typically limit forward momentum for range reasons in other electric cars, the Plaid can be thoroughly pushed to its limits.

This leads to extremely impressive performance and impactful experiences. Those who have considered a taking-off jet as the epitome of acceleration will experience an even more intense thrust in the Plaid.

Tesla claims a 2.1-second sprint to 100 km/h ex works – a Formula 1 car takes about 2.5 seconds for the same. The top speed of the Model S Plaid is even more extreme: The fastest Tesla is said to reach 322 km/h on the highway. How long can it sustain that?

Design avantgarde for sporty ride

One thing’s for sure, the new MarinaBay will endure many summers and winters thanks to its durable SRC coating. And its appearance is likely to never get boring, as the MarinaBay is spectacular – named after the fastest F1 circuit in Singapore for a reason.

Its five seemingly straight spokes and extremely minimalist design evoke associations with motorsport. The weighty centre section creates a stable pole at a central point and hints at the technical solidity of the rim. DOTZ creates interesting accents with the MarinaBay through the striking turbo ring, which, through rectangular recesses on the rim flange, produces intriguing effects, especially from longer distances.

Three paint options and many dimensions

To match almost any car colour, DOTZ offers the MarinaBay in three design variants. In our example with the Tesla S, the already contrasting gunmetal colour variation with a polished flange was mounted. A bit more discreet but no less interesting, the MarinaBay also looks good in matte black or, particularly eye-catching, in the elegantly matte bronze colour.

The MarinaBay is designed for mid-size and upper mid-size vehicles, with a load capacity of 780 kg. The dimensions range from 8.5x18 to 10.0x21 inches. A VTA is available for numerous models.
