Striking motorsport aesthetics and high-end flowforged technology
The striking and distinctive Sonoma bronze – named after the legendary Sonoma Raceway in California – combines state-of-the-art technology with bold motorsport design. Its asymmetrical multi-level V-spoke design creates an impressive, captivating 3D effect while maintaining a perfect balance of dynamism and stability. Despite the asymmetry, the wheel line remains straight and balanced, emphasising an open, aggressive appearance.
The Aero Ring with undercut as a design element gives it – together with the open spoke design – an exceptionally agile, lightweight look. Furthermore, the innovative high-end flowforged technology ensures maximum material density at minimal thickness, allowing a saving of up to 800 grams of aluminium per rim. The result: an especially light yet highly stable wheel that further enhances the Audi TT’s inherently high driving dynamics and agility.
25 years spanning three generations
There is much to say about the TT, but the most important would be that it has made design history for the brand with the four rings. Since its premiere in 1998, the sports car has captivated enthusiasts worldwide with driving pleasure and a clear design language, whether as a coupé or, later, as a roadster.
In our numerous pictures you can see the Sonoma bronze in the 8.5×20 ET40 dimension with 225/35/20 tyres, combined with an ST X coilover suspension and 5mm wheel spacers all around on a 180 PS Audi TT 1.8 TFSI of the third generation (8S), produced between 2014 and 2023. Whether petrol runs in your veins or you simply care about the best look for your own vehicle – this appearance simply fascinates and excites.
Does this Audi TT look familiar to some of you? That’s right: at Tuning World Bodensee 2025, it served as the perfect stage to showcase the DOTZ Sonoma bronze. Thanks to its valve exhaust, original TTRS rear and front spoilers, front grille and side skirts, air intakes (film-sprayed in black) and diffuser, this show car was a true crowd-puller, eliciting many amazed looks and selfies – naturally.
Winter-ready
The myth persists that design rims should not be used in winter – why, exactly, we ask? With DOTZ, you are always perfectly styled, in every season, including winter.
The high-quality and innovative SRC paint used on the Sonoma bronze strengthens the wheel’s “natural defences” against road salt and minor scratches, ensuring it still looks pristine even after many years.
Wide range of fitments
With ECE approvals for models such as Audi A3, A5, A6, A7 and Q3, BMW 2 Series, 3 Series, 4 Series and X1, Cupra Formentor, Seat Tarraco, Skoda Kodiaq and Superb, Smart #1, Tesla Model Y or VW Passat, Tiguan and T-Roc, among many others, the DOTZ Sonoma is ideal for a wide range of compact and mid-size vehicles.
Numerous other fitments with VTA approvals are also possible. In addition to the bronze colour, the Sonoma is also available in dark with a polished flange. Both colour variants are available in sizes from 8×19 to 10.5×21 inches.
