The design concept
BACK TO OVERVIEWIn this episode, Christian sets out for the Hotrod Hangar to conceptualise the design of our DD2.JZ together with Dominic Tiroch. The duo already has an idea about the colours and paint which will make our DD2.JZ a true eyecatcher on future tuning trade shows.
Dominic’s office is located inside the Hotrod Hangar where the two realise their design ideas using a gaming console which allows them to visualise colours, stripes and even small details such as colour gradation. Recently, Christian had ordered a Slekdesign body kit from America to make our DD2.JZ a truly unique car. Full carbon, wide body and a large rear lip spoiler characterise this rather rare body kit.
Our DD2.JZ is painted with one gradient starting from the rear to the carbon engine bonnet in the Takata green used for the 6-point harness. The golden rims add another dash of colour, rounding off the beefy look of the modified BMW Z4 body.
After Christian and Dominic have implemented the design concept and visualised it for the first time, they visit a well-known upholsterer where they discuss every single interior space detail.
The duo commissions plenty of Alcantara, contrast stitching and extravagant details. The interior of our DD2.JZ will be a true eyecatcher…
