Final touches
BACK TO OVERVIEWIn this episode, Christian and Daniel will fix the last technical details on the DD2.JZ to survive Consonno (Italy) without any glitches. The temperature of the steering oil, which is too high, and a missing reservoir for the cooling system are their main priorities.
Christian doesn’t waste any time and immediately starts disassembling the front bumper to get easier access to the steering components. The electrically controlled Aristo power steering pump will be exchanged for a reliable and original hydraulic pump by Supra. After the steering oil became so hot during the last test drive that even robust Dash hoses melted, Christian ordered a steering oil cooler to solve this problem.
To install the new cooler, Christian manufactures tailored supports.
He also adds a reservoir in order to always guarantee optimal engine temperatures during drifting sequences. Fortunately, the two guys are able to mount the original Aristo reservoir.
After this exhausting day, our DD2.JZ is now ready for the upcoming event. Join us for the next episode, which will take you behind the scenes of the colossal video shooting in Italy!
