Wörtherseetreffen 2018
BACK TO OVERVIEWGrand DOTZ opening at the 37th GTI convention at Lake Wörth. DOTZ is as much part of the convention as wheels are part of a car. Thanks to our role as one of the main sponsors and experts for sophisticated tuning, the DOTZ booth was a real hotspot. This year's special guest, Lowrider.at, made sure that our eye-catcher, the VW T-Roc, had as much style as it had traction. The SUV was fitted with an Air Lift Performance chassis. Its striking look was achieved with the 3M foil "Satin Sheer Luck Green" and the new DOTZ CP5 dark 8,5x20" ET45. Together with our DOTZ Girl Anja, this combination attracted a steady stream of visitors and quite some appreciative looks.
The event kicked off on Wednesday, 9th of May, under the banner of the first official DOTZ Days. Upfront, a jury had already selected those cars that would hog the limelight on DOTZ Day at the Lake among a great number of competitors.
One of the highlights was the DOTZ Wheel.RUN, where some of our Team Riders gave their all. In a motorcade, everyone then moved first to the centre of the GTI convention in Reifnitz and afterwards to Maria Wörth, where we had a photo shoot in front of a perfect backdrop at Schiffsplatz Square. The final stop of this little drive was “Omas Wiese”, one of the hotspots in Reifnitz. The day came to an end, but not a quiet one… the evening of the first DOTZ DAY rocked on with an exclusive booth party. Tickets were limited and highly sought after, everybody wanted to shake to the beats of DJ Reed on the Red Bull DJ Truck “Franz Josef I”. But one truck is not enough, which is why we had organized a second truck from Streetfood Austria for catering, serving juicy pulled pork burgers to the guests. This is how the following trade fair days were kicked off in a more than deserving way.
The DOTZ booth had another eye-catcher - Peter Riedel, creator of quite some brilliant airbrush art, beautified our DOTZ Girls with stylish body paintings. Our DOTZ Babes and our DOTZ Girl Anja were not only a decoration to our booth, they were also quite busy signing posters.
Surrounded by shiny metal, polished rims and cool music and under changing weather conditions, the days passed all too quickly again.
Now it is time to implement what we saw – let’s all screw, tune, and polish until we’ll see each other again at the Lake in 2019.
