Team rider Falk Jordan and his KIA Ceed called "The Wide One"
BACK TO OVERVIEWposted: 2017-06-22
Sometimes things do not turn out the way you expect. Falk Jordan can tell you a thing or two about it because what had started in 2015 as a Mother's Day gift for Falk's wife, gradually took a different shape than initially planned.
The 204-hp strong Ceed was supposed to remain in series, however, shortly after gifting the KIA Falk’s hands began to itch and he started to carry out the first optical changes. The KIA Track version leaves almost nothing to be desired in terms of safety and comfort.
As the KIA had just arrived on the market, spare parts were hard to get, which is why Falk got in touch with Giacuzzo Fahrzeugdesign and together they developed a body kit called Baby Kit. The kit consists of a front and rear apron, a rear spoiler and wing extensions. In addition, alloy rims were fitted, too.
The KIA then had its first appearance at the 2016 Tuning World Bodensee, which was followed by further modifications including CSR-Automotive “Böser Blick” headlight eyelids and side sills by Ingo Noak.
Car parts provider Vmaxx also took notice of Falk’s car and developed a racing brake system with 330mm disks and 4-piston calipers in addition to new coilovers. Equipped with these components, the Ceed was exhibited at the Essen Motor Show Vmaxx booth.
In winter 2016/17, the KIA underwent a full-fledged car wrapping in ice-grey and a design in mint matte and purple metallic matte. At the same time, the front and rear were de-branded, which was followed by the installation of a NAP valve exhaust system.
The alloy rims were replaced by new DOTZ Kendo dark in 8x19‘‘ ET 40. The markedly edgy double spokes design creates an impressive dynamic in rotation, perfectly in line with the overall concept. On the rims, Falk fitted 225/35 tyres.
The trained painter covered a great deal of the interior with colour, even re-painting the Wiechers Clubsport roll cage which now shines in ice-grey and mint matte.
The Ceed owes the nickname „The Wide One” to its wide wing extensions. The overall look is very harmonious and a welcome change to VW and the sorts.
We are happy to have a new Team Rider on board and wish Falk continued success with his modifications and the realisation of his dream KIA.
