The new sleek Lexus sporty coupé glides through the streets almost soundlessly while the hybrid´s insides brim with power.
Developed on the Nürburgring, the RC boasts the look of a sports car thanks to the gently slanting roof top line and the elongated bonnet. But don’t be fooled, behind the aerodynamic façade hides an economic glider. Driven by a hybrid powertrain and supported by a smooth-running 2.5-l petrol engine, the car has a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 8.6 seconds, which is not as energetic as expected.
The short wheelbase and rigid chassis promise agility while the multi-link rear and double wishbone front suspension deliver additional stability. And yet, the Lexus is not really at home on mountain serpentines, more likely preferring to float sensuously across country roads.
