But today, we want to take a closer look at Alex’s daily driver, a Skoda Octavia RS.
Since the Octavia is in use every day, its body remained nearly untouched. Alex replaced the serial grill with a honeycomb grill and painted it black. The exterior mirrors were given a black paint coat as well, resulting in a beautiful colour contrast to the RS’s white outer skin.Coilovers from AH Exclusive Parts – inclusive of race car strut bearings – brought the Skoda RS closer to the ground by a whopping 110 mm. Now, the Skoda not only looks better, it also corners better.After installing the coilovers it was time to select the right wheels. Similar to Alex’s modified Polo GTI, the Skoda would be incomplete without DOTZ rims; in this case the new Revvo dark. The markedly concave wheel design has a sporty-delicate touch and meets a decisive factor – weight reduction. The combination of a polished drop-centre and ornamental bolts gives a perfectly balanced rim look. Alex has opted for 8.5x19’’ Revvos ET 45 with 225/35 Hankook Evo S1 tyres, which fill up the wheel wells quite neatly in combination with the lower suspension setting.
With his daily driver, Alex has proved that it requires very little to make your car look sportier. Who wouldn’t want to roam the streets in this car every day?
