They are called suburban´s, carryalls or larger load-volume vehicles, and then there´s Martin Postl´s blue Audi A4 estate car. The 25-year-old from Bad Fischau in Lower Austria built his 3-l TDI, which he bought in 2015, according to his liking, combining practicality with show car qualities.
When Martin pushes the Airride buttons for his Low-tech coilovers the DOTZ Revvo black edt. 8.5x20’’ wheels sink deep into the wheelhouse of his Audi. The cross spoke with the recess in the upper edges has a sporty-delicate touch and meets a decisive factor: weight reduction.
The initially mentioned coilovers were fitted with Universal Air Suspension. At the same time, adjusted strut bearings, an air supply kit and a complete Accuair Elevel control system were installed. Three of Martin’s best friends helped him accomplish all of that.
In addition to the chassis modifications the engine was given a performance overhaul, too. Instead of the original 239 hp Martin can now rev up his car to 290 hp at a whopping 610 Nm. In order to achieve this, Martin first adjusted the software followed by a DPF replacement pipe and a 3’’-exhaust system ending in two 100-mm pipes.
The trained electrician, who also volunteers for the fire brigade, installed LED rear lights with dynamic indicators as well as replaced the front license plate depression with a so-called U.S. cover, which gives an even cleaner look.
The original steering wheel was exchanged for a flattened steering wheel with multi-function buttons and Audi S4 shift paddles.
Martin succeeded in bridging the gap between practicality, usability and show car qualities. The look of his Audi A4 is far from exaggerated, and yet manages to stand out in the crowd.
