Episode 18: DD2.JZ - a project at the finish line
BACK TO OVERVIEWIn this episode, our DD2.JZ is rolled down the ramp and fitted with DOTZ rims on a trial basis. A milestone for our Project!
Since almost everything on our DD2.JZ has been technically renewed and refurbished, today, Christian and Daniel are busy with a few finishing strokes.
After adapting the radiator support, the two technicians install the specially ordered visco blower.
Another working step consists of the fitting of the wastegates including screamer pipes. At a later stage, these are to protrude from the bonnet. Goosebumps guaranteed!
Now that the vacuum hoses and other engine bay details have been dealt with, the duo can start to install the headlights, the bonnet and the grille. Several weeks have gone by, many small setbacks had to be put away, unexpected problems had to be solved… This breath-taking sight, however, makes up for all the exertions of late. On this day, our project car features Dotz SP5 on a trial basis. The Dotz body shop is jumping with joy!
