Episode 19: Air suspension part 1
BACK TO OVERVIEWChris Miller aka Lowrider.at is our guest today, and he installs what is probably the best air suspension currently available on the market in our DD2.JZ.
Today, the original BMW Z4 chassis is disassembled and replaced with a high-end motorsports air suspension by Air Lift. At the touch of a button this chassis allows you to select between show&shine and race track. Just the right thing for us!
The new chassis brings maximum lower suspension setting of roughly 150mm. Not only height, but also hardness as well as camber and castor can be freely adjusted.
Chris knows his stuff. The chassis was installed within a few hours.
Here, Chris aka Lowrider.at is measuring the actual low-suspension setting, after which he optimizes some settings on the suspension struts. In the next episode, you'll witness the installation of the compressor and the control unit for the Air Lift suspension system. The sight of our DD2.JZ rolling down from the hydraulic ramp is gonna be truly breath-taking…
