Episode 21: The final preparations
BACK TO OVERVIEWOnce the air suspension is installed by Lowrider.at in our DD2.JZ, Daniel and Christian can start to prepare the car for ECU-Performance.
The two technicians think about where to place the air ride control. Not only the control for the air suspension is installed in the existing Z4 dashboard, a tablet for the Haltech control must also be fitted in there. Christian takes over the construction of the custom-built fixture for the two control units.
The original Z4 speedometer must make space for a digital unit by Haltech. Once more, Christian comes up with a customized solution. Now, the new speedo fits into the original BMW bracket.
At the end of the day, the air ride control, the tablet as well as the new Haltech speedo are all installed in the DD2.JZ. In the next episode, Christian and Daniel will fill in all the liquids and hand over our fireball to ECU-Performance for the proper adjustments. There, the engine will be running for the first time… We can’t wait to see and hear!
