High-tech braking system by K-Sport
BACK TO OVERVIEWIn this episode, professional engineer René Rösel - CEO of K-Sport - is paying us a visit, bringing with him a high-performance braking system which will equip our DD2.JZ with adequate delay.
In a first step, together with the brake discs, the brake calipers are demounted. The original braking system would be hopelessly overwhelmed by the performance-enhanced 2JZ GTE engine.
Engineer René Rösel briefly describes the modular construction of the K-Sport braking disc to Christian, resolving a common delusion and explaining the true benefit of slots or holes in the brake disc. The owner of K-Sport gets down to work himself, helping Christian with the installation of the new braking system.
The installation of the complete braking system was a cakewalk for the two. A 365 brake disc with a 6-piston caliper for the front axle, and a 330 brake disc with a 4-piston caliper for the rear axle, will from now on carry out their duties in our DD2.JZ.
