Christian measures the individual distances on the DD2.JZ’s interior floor. The installation of the bucket seats requires very precise workmanship. The adjustable driver’s seat needs to shift from front to back jerk-free.Christian removes the paint from the floor. The custom-made form pipes are welded to the body and are meant to correct any unevenness. The prep work for the first Bride seats are completed. Daniel’s perfect weld seams are quite a sight. The driver’s seat fits perfectly into the DD2.JZ’s interior space, and after a brief sit test Daniel and Christian start installing the passenger seat.Form pipes are used also on the passenger side in order to offset the height difference and to be able to fit the seat rails expertly. As the passenger seat is not adjustable, this work step takes less time.
After a busy day, both Bride bucket seats are installed in our DD2.JZ. We’re moving in big steps towards the second test ride. Stay tuned!
