The most important tuning events 2018
BACK TO OVERVIEWThis year, once again, a whole range of tuning events all across Europe are worth a visit. Here is a brief overview:
The action starts in Budapest as early as end of March. More than 200 exhibitors from 15 countries have announced their presence at the “AMTS” (23-25 March, 2018) to take place in Hungary’s capital, with roughly 1,500 tuned cars awaiting visitors on 100,000 square metres of exhibition space. The organisers expect close to 50,000 guests.
From early May onwards, one event follows another. On May 9, 2018, the legendary GTI meet, the “Wörtherseetreffen”, kicks off by the shores of Carinthia’s Wörthersee lake in Austria where DOTZ will be present with a booth. Between May 10 and 13, 2018, Friedrichshafen, once more, turn into a tuning hotspot. In 2018, besides tuning, the “Tuning World Bodensee” will again focus on lifestyle and the club scene. Tradition has it that the “Night of Wheels” takes place at a very special venue. This year, PlusCity in Linz will provide the authentic club scene atmosphere. For May 20, 2018, the organisers have announced JP Performance’s Jean Pierre Kraemer as special guest. In early June, the XS Carnight in Berlin will present the latest trends in Germany. On June 8 and 9, 2018, the Olympic Stadium will again serve as arena for what has become a legendary meeting. Immediately afterwards, everybody will be headed to the English town of Newcastle for the third edition of the “Kulturschock” car show on June 10, 2018 to be held at the Gateshead International Stadium, with an array of water cooled, air cooled, air ride and OEM being displayed indoor and outdoor. On June 29, 2018, we move on to “Raceism” in Wroclaw where classic tuning cars will try to win the favour of the audience with high-end luxury cars outside the city stadium. Every year in the Advent season, the Essen Motor Show is a fixture. On December 1, 2018, the Ruhr area’s exhibition halls will start to sparkle thanks to all the chrome and paint. The organisers expect roughly 350,000 visitors at the 51st edition of the traditional event.
