Tuning World Bodensee 2023
BACK TO OVERVIEWWe always look forward to this event with great anticipation: When Tuning World Bodensee again opens its doors from 18th to 21st May, the international tuning community has a very special pilgrimage site for four days. It's no wonder, as the extremely diverse program alone is worth it, with numerous shows, plenty of action, and cool competitions. Here, tinkering, polishing, and lowering are lived with much blood, sweat and tears and genuine conviction.
The highlights of the trade show for automotive lifestyle and tuning in perfection are once again the countless exhibits and booths that attract thousands of visitors from all over Europe (and beyond) every year.
In addition to exhibitors from the industry and aftermarket, the tuning community is also represented with clubs. After a pandemic-related hiatus, last year saw over 1500 show cars and more than 850 exhibitors in Friedrichshafen, and they are looking forward to a reunion this year.
DOTZ is again present at Tuning World with a booth this year, showcasing, among other things, a truly golden combination: Toyota’s small racer, the Yaris GR, enhanced with radiant Fuji rims in gold, is one of the eye-catching attractions at the exhibition at Lake Constance.
In addition, other possibilities are shown on how the character of a car can be emphasized, or altered, through the use of suitable rims. If you’re unable to visit the DOTZ booth, you can find more trade show highlights and interesting news from the event on our Instagram page.
“You’re right in the thick of things”, is a promise that the organisers of the number one tuning exhibition in the world clearly deliver, enticing people to Germany’s southwest with a mix of “community, heartbeat, and vibrations”. Show, party, and buying prowess are highly valued here. “A lifestyle well-loved by tuners”, as the organisers like to point out. Interesting newcomers, top tuners, and the many live attractions make the top tuning trade show stand out.
In addition to tuned vintage cars, brutally spectacular wide-body builds, or simply tastefully modified sports cars, the trade show, once again, features plenty of exhibits from extremely ambitious and skilled hobby tuners. You can see further highlights on the Style Mile or in the European Tuning Showroom. The Dragster Area provides varied entertainment with howling engines in the outdoor area west.
In the eSports Arena in the west foyer, it’s “full speed for everyone” at twelve high-end simulators. The Performance Area presents action-packed shows on two and four wheels, while exclusively sideways action can be witnessed at the Ravenol Drift Area, where the best professional drivers from Europe showcase their skills, allowing spectators to look over their shoulder during taxi rides.
As always, the highlight of the exhibition is the European Tuning Showdown, where the best modifications compete against each other in Europe’s most prestigious tuning competition. Last year, Swedish participant Henrik Mattsson won the ETS with his modified Volvo V70 and our Suzuka black.
The level, as always, is very high, the participants’ commitment is immense, and – as past experiences have shown – the joy of the visitors at the impeccably styled exhibits is enormous.
