Episode 20: Air suspension part II
BACK TO OVERVIEWIn this episode, once again, Chris Miller aka Lowrider.at drops in at our body shop to complete the installation of the Air Lift suspension system.
Before the Air Lift suspension provided by Lowrider.at can finally be operated, the compressor, a few cables and the control unit must be installed in our DD2.JZ.
The VIAIR compressor is perfectly aligned with the size of the 5-gallon air tank which it can fill in just a few minutes. Our DD2.JZ's boot should remain as neat and tidy as possible. That's why, air ride expert Chris hides all pipes below the original trim.
In order to test the mounted air suspension Christian and Daniel connect the battery in the boot. The efforts have paid off. When the air suspension is dropped to maximum the Z4 body almost hits the ground – just perfect to make heads turn at an exhibition.
In the next episode, our DD2.JZ will be transported to Daniel's body shop to carry out the final touch-ups before handing it over to ECU Performance where the engine, following a precise adjustment, will be running for the first time.
