DD2.JZ pit stop
BACK TO OVERVIEWIn this episode, Christian and Daniel are renewing the driveshafts that tore on the racetrack. In a next step, a little something is adapted in the exhaust system for show purposes. After all, our DD2.JZ not only should look great at car exhibitions but also on drift tracks besides hogging the limelight during video shoots.
Christian takes another look at the condition of the old, torn driveshafts. On the circular course, they withstood the extreme stress only for a few minutes.
After de-installing the defective driveshafts, the two technicians waste no time to install the freshly ordered original parts. Christian has decided to make the screamer pipes protrude beyond the engine bonnet. These release the exhaust fumes directly into the open after reaching the maximum boost pressure for an inevitable goosebumps feeling.
In a final step, the quick release fasteners for the engine bonnet are mounted. These ensure smooth opening and closing of the Z4 engine bonnet even under the roughest conditions.
In the next episode, the duo is going to tackle the interior by installing a safety cell in our DD2.JZ. To this end, the entire interior must be cleared out beforehand.
