Eurospotter hosted the Kulturschock 2016 on August 21 in Newcastle, England.

The DOTZ Tuning Wheels team spared no effort and headed out on the nearly 2,000 km long road trip as early as August 19. The car was packed up and we rode off to England! Crossing the Channel on a ferry was quite an experience during which we encountered the first show cars from Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium all of which didn’t want to miss the event either.

Even though the weather was truly British we were lucky it didn’t rain, with the cloudy sky letting through some sunshine here and there. The weather was unable to spoil the great mood among the tuning enthusiasts who were enjoying their time together.

A total of roughly 500 cars across Europe found their way to the Racecourse. The Kulturschock event drew in various car brands and groups within the scene. Visitors were treated to water-cooled and air-cooled cars ranging from classic cars to modern tuning cars. Whether the cars were equipped with air ride or coilovers, only one thing counted, sharing the same hobby.

The event featured trade stands, clubs stands, live entertainment and a show & shine contest as well as a car limbo award for the lowest car. A wide range of stalls catered to every taste in food and drink.

In addition to all the visual treats one or the other modified car managed to impress with inner qualities, too, such as this high-performance Audi.

Even though the journey was rather strenuous, with the road trip from Friday to Monday covering a distance of 4,000 km, it was worth every minute. We wouldn’t mind experiencing more such “culture shocks”. Let’s see what Eurospotter will come up with next…...
