Raceism: Tuning to the Limit
BACK TO OVERVIEWposted: 2017-07-24
On July 8th and 9th, the Polish city of Wroclaw set the stage for one of Eastern Europes biggest tuning events. Hardcore tuning fans flocked from all across the continent to the Raceism event. DOTZ was also there to take a good look.
As is common at Eastern European tuning meets, local manufacturers are present, too. This hopped-up Lada came all the way from the Ukraine to western Poland.
Fans of dignified car modification turned up from the other direction as well: from Austria, a Porsche featuring an RWB kit.
And yet another “extreme tuning” representative: a BMW 3 E46 with very wide hips.
A classic: a Mercedes 260 SL, equipped with air suspension.
The Nissan GT-R is a modern classic. This bullet belongs to model Mareike Fox.
Another Nissan rocket: this one boasts impressive design parts from Maxton and won this year’s Raceism event.
Outside of the Miejski stadium, which was built for the UEFA Euro 2012,...
...visitors and exhibitors gathered.
View of the stadium car park which also served as the drift area.
This BMW 5 Series model from the 1990s is an extremely smooth ride featuring low profile tyres.
This high-gloss engine belongs to a second-generation VW Golf.
This aggregate, installed in a BMW 3 E30, was in great shape, too.
Alongside classic tuning rides, special high-end limousine rebuilds rode to Wroclaw as well, including two representatives…
...of exclusive brand Maserati.
Japanese chrome jewels also showed up, such as this Honda S2000,
and this Toyota iQ, bearing testimony to the fact that tuning can be carried out almost to perfection in the smallest places, too.
This one here isn’t a spoiler, it’s an exhaust pipe, seen on a VW Golf 4 R32…
Okush Works has upgraded the motor compartment of this Honda S2000.
The Lamborghini Gallardo can do without any tuning.
After all, this bull hits the road with a factory-set output of 368 kW.
Another representative of the faded Eastern bloc: a Trabant with the logo of the agricultural machine combination “Fortschritt” (progress).
Also, Nissan’s S Series was present in many places.
The Japanese manufacturer was pleased to be able to exhibit a Cima, too.
Another German make with extreme spoilers and extensions: a Porsche 944.
Tuners have a good sense of humour, as was demonstrated by the Lada and Trabant. This Fiat 126 falls into the same category.
Naturally, the visitors wanted to see this wide scope of variety up close. Pretty soon, the ticket sales queue got longer and longer.
An extremely long way for an extremely fast set of wheels: The driver of this Porsche Cayman rode to Raceism all the way from Norway.
Optimised air supply, lower manifold pressure, improved durability: the key data for an M-Tuned BMW 135i.
A mix of Mustang and Jaguar: the Datsun 240Z.
Local tuner perfectauo24 brought this Audi A6 Avant to Wroclaw.
And to round it all off: a perfectly maintained example of a BMW 7 E23.
