Lake Wörth Reloaded
BACK TO OVERVIEWposted: 2017-09-26
The unofficial post-convention of the GTI convention at Lake Wörth (or Wörthersee), once again, drew thousands of visitors to Carinthia. DOTZ went to mingle with the crowd.
Despite the rainy weather roughly 3,000 visitors came to the convention post the convention in mid-September. Even guests from Switzerland drove around the lake, such as this VW Tiguan featuring an Air Ride System.
The hero of the convention is and remains the Golf – here we can see a nice example of a Wolfsburg classic, version III.
But naturally, cars from the entire VW empire rode to Carinthia, such as this Dutch representative with an Audi RS4 with Air Ride.
And this one is just under 25 years old: the Golf II.
An Audi A6 Avant with a discreet exterior featuring low section tyres and an extreme coilovers version.
The wheel wells of this VW Passat Variant could also be called extreme.
And another Passat with colour-matching front apron. The atmosphere at the Lake Wörth Reloaded festival was fantastic. It could have been a notch better if it hadn’t rained.
Naturally, other brands were welcome too, including a wide range of Mercedes.
A true eyecatcher with a perfect film-sprayed finish: a Seat Leon estate car with Air Lift.
The last six-cylinder R32 – the Golf V with the reference number 250: 250 km/h speed, 250 hp.
This one here might even keep pace with the R32: a 3 Series BMW in a beautiful black-gold colour combination.
Production of this model ended 24 years ago: the Corrado G60 with 160 hp and 225 Nm.
Wörthersee Reloaded attracted a few BMW drivers, too, among them the owner of this 3 Series model.
An Audi fit to be used by the U.S. Secret Service: an A7 in all-black mode.
And another Audi, this time an A4 Avant.
And finally, once again, the name giver of the original convention: the Golf. This one is a Golf IV R32 which saw the light of day in 2002 with 241 hp.
