Traditionally, the tuning puritans meet before the official meeting around the Carinthian holiday paradise. There are models and equipment to be seen, which are close to be not permissible in Austria – it’s easier with foreign number plates.

Even the weather was briefly inadmissible: early May the heavens opened his cold locks and sent a winter greeting to Reifnitz.

Dotz used the time during the snow chaos to set up an Audi TT with DOTZ Shift 19” in a nearby underground car park for a photo shooting (more on that in a later report).

As winter moved on and the sun appeared again, the mood grew with our hostesses around .

Motorized highlight at the Dotz booth at the GTI meet from May 4th to 7th was an Audi TTS as a result of a cooperation with partner Foliatec. The 2.0 TFSI engine manages, thanks to a Muggianu-tag with a K04 turbocharger upgrade, some whopping 379 hp. The racing look with the TT-RS body kit is completed by the mounted DOTZ Revvo dark 9.5x19 ET 35.

But the Dotz booth also had space for a throwback to the namesake of the meeting: The Golf GTD by Michael Hammer with its 185 hp / 350 NM and the KW V2 Coilovers of Gepfeffert which also rolled on a Revvo dark 8.5x20 ET 40 into the arena.

Meanwhile Sabrina had a whole lot of work. Of the approximately 100,000 visitors to the GTI meet a large number wanted a signed poster from our DOTZ Girl.

As always some Dotz teamriders came to Reifnitz. Jörg Altreuther brought his VW Golf VII GTI with coilover and DOTZ Revvo dark 8.5x19 ET 45 to Carinthia. The concept car runs under the Lego-ajar motto "Lowgo" and will be introduced later in more detail.

This white knight here is the Skoda Superb Combi of Daniel Beck. The Skoda brings 170 hp to the street, on track keeps him a GAS air suspension and Revvo 8,5x20 ET 45. The Superb will also be the main subject of a upcoming Dotz news report.

The 35th GTI meeting was held under the motto "Back to the roots". The cars were back at the center, ...

... stands with products that have nothing to do with cars were only allowed very limited. The whole exhibition area thus remained reserved to lowered, revamped and roaring tuning monsters.

Another Dotz teamrider exposed his car: Alex Koch was cruising with his Octavia RS to the lake. The tires fitted with a coilover brisk are mounted on a DOTZ Revvo dark 8.5x19 ET 45. The Octavia gets a separate report as well.

And while this year the VW Group brands Audi, Seat and Skoda with its line-up in 2016 remained at home, the Wolfsburg-based group has reworked the GTI on the occasion of the 40th anniversary again: the Clubsport with up to 290 hp is the strongest series GTI of all times. Along came a WRC Polo and a GTI 7 series in motorsport design.
The participants of the GTI meet were very disciplined this year as part of the authorities called it. Although some modifications of radical ideas generated attention...

... a Bulli for dwarfs. If the trend continues, then we can look forward to the GTI meet 2017. Then the VW tuning community comes to the southern bank of Wörthersee May 24th to 27th.
