DOTZ Teamrider Max Leitner
When children’s dreams come true … in this case that’s “Supra”.

As a diaper wearer in the 80s DOTZ Team Rider Markus Leitner started to dream, and best so in his granddad’s 911. His love of cars developed during sleep and with it the dream of his own automobile.

Thanks to the straightforward technology in the 90s and his talent of independent learning, the access to “screwing” wasn’t all that difficult. Driven by naïvety and thirst for knowledge, he gained experience until it hit him in 1994 when Markus saw a Toyota Supra in Best Motoring. Up until then he had only been a fan of Asian food, now the Japanese car suited his taste completely.

Sadly, not only is Japan far away, but a Supra was equally unreachable for him at the time.

So, between 1994 and 2011 he practiced with other Asians, such as the Mazda RX7, and threw a few baseball balls into the distance until the moment finally came: A 1998 SZ-R in Royal Sapphire Pearl found its way to Europe and into his garage.

Accompanied by old-school hip hop, the Toyota Supra was disassembled, overworked and rebuilt not only once. Because as long as the two are together the saying applies: “In winter, things are repaired that aren’t broken and parts bought that you don’t need”.
